General Membership Meetings

The Calcasieu Kennel Club meets monthly on the second Tuesday of each month usually on the McNeese State University campus in Kirkman 115 at 7:30pm unless a program is planned causing the time to be 7:00pm. You may contact us through for specifics because in February, August, and December we meet at members homes for special occasions.

Anyone may attend the monthly meetings without joining. If you decide to join our club, you need to ask for an application which you must pick up at a meeting and not just download from the Internet. We feel you need to know us, and we need to know you; so you pick the application up at one meeting, and it is voted on at the next meeting you attend. There is a set of guidelines that we ask you to sign also. The dues are $15 for the year to help pay for the refreshments we have at each meeting.

You do not have to be showing a dog to join the club; just have a love of dogs and their activities. If you are looking for a dog with which to do agility, obedience, rally, or conformation, club members may be able to help you find the right dog for you.

The club’s bylaws 2016 are available for you to read so that you can learn more about us. The Standing Rules revised 2016 are also available for viewing.
