General Membership Meetings

The Calcasieu Kennel Club meets at 7:00pm on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings are held at Kirkman Hall on the McNeese State University (450 Joe Dumars Drive, Lake Charles).

The meetings are not restricted to members and the club welcomes anyone with an interest in dogs to attend.  If you would like to join the Calcasieu Kennel Club, you can request an application at a meeting. We feel you need to know us, and we need to know you; so you pick the application up at one meeting, and your membership application is voted on at the next meeting you attend. There is a set of guidelines that we ask you to sign also. The dues are $15 for the year.

You do not have to be showing a dog to join the club; just have a love of dogs and their activities. If you are looking for a dog with which to do agility, obedience, rally, or conformation, club members may be able to help you find the right dog for you.

The club’s bylaws 2016 are available for you to read so that you can learn more about us. The Standing Rules revised 2016 are also available for viewing.
